Eat Mor Chicken

Picture from http://www.blogography.com
Chicken has the Migo phone from Verizon Wireless and really wants to upgrade to a "big boy" phone. I won't bore you with all the lame details of the fucking clusterfuck that had to take place to make this happen, so let's just say that Teddy Bear had to battle with Verizon about making the upgrade. At one point Teddy Bear strode out to the garage and his voice began to take on the "don't fuck with me tone" that we all know and love. Chicken said:

"When Teddy Bear goes into his man cave, the guy on the other line does not come out."

True that, motherfucker.

how did you feel about getting the kid a cell? i hate seeing kids with cell phones... but i understand the protective factor that goes into it. having girls will probably make this love of all things cellular even fucking worse. yay!

Fucking brilliant. He's the best kid ever, next to Gus. I would like Gus to have one of those kid cells for one reason only - if I am running late to pick him up from swim practice. That would be perfect.

I think in this day and age it is a good idea for a kid to have a cell phone. As long as said kid does not abuse that privledge. Man's neices and nephew have cell phones. This way they are able to get into contact with their father for whatever reason since they can't depend on their mother.

I love the reference to the garage as a "Man cave". Nice.

Why do things have to be so difficult? Verizon should be happy to help a CUSTOMER out shouldn't they? Nothing is ever easy anymore. I just got my new atm card. On the back it says REAL PEOPLE and gives the 800 number. LOL I thought that was funny. I hope your weekend is good Sam.

It's really hard to justify giving your kid a cell phone nowadays.

Maybe it's because I'm old fashioned...*shrugs*

My response to my kids when they ask me for a cell phone; 'You can have one when you work for a living'.

Seriously, who needs a cell phone at 12??

i heard someone say once, "look, if you don't know where your 5th grader is, you've got bigger problems than getting them a cell phone!"

which is true, if you think about it. not that chicken falls into this category. i know he's just a tween who wants to hurry up and grow up. i can't blame him. i was the same way.

the funny thing is, i WISH my life was simple enough so that i COULD use a Migo. *sigh*

i can't wait until i'm old and my life gets simple again....
