Oh My Gawd

*insert inarticulate mumbling, crying, yelling and general pissiness here*

I cannot speak of my pain, other than to say that very soon the Sam family will be relocating to another abode. Also, I shall not wear pearls while vacuuming.

Chicken and I picked up his middle school schedule today. I think it killed me a little. My baby is going to a big kids' school. Holy crap. School starts Monday.

Do you ever have those crying jags that last so long you end up with a migraine and the next day (not just the morning, the whole DAY) your eyes are swollen and puffy and pissed all to bloody hell? See first part of post above.

I totally love my husband. And Dude The Cat of Greatness. And Chicken.

Totally I submitted my application to CSUSM. I might be taking a few prerequisite courses starting this semester, with the goal of starting a two-semester credential program for elementary school teaching next semester. I'll know how I did on the CBEST in a few days.

I've got nothing else, people. Thanks for the support and the comments and Hi! to Brad K.

Sam,

If you haven't hooked up with a re-entry group at your college, do it now. It is great sharing shopping and child care tips. Having a support group means that someone in the group has likely stumbled across what you need to find.

Sometimes you can even pick instructors that are more demanding, or easier to understand, or that talk better English, depending on what you are looking for. It will surprise you how many 50+ people share your concerns, and how many mature and responsible people you meet at 20+ among the re-entrants.

And don't forget the MagicRub erasers. Those white things will erase more pencil, without scuffing paper - magic.

I hope the days get brighter, soon.

dammit, vacuuming is the BEST time to wear pearls. please don't stop. the world needs more smartly bejeweled dirt vanquishing mavens.

unless, of course, the strand broke and you vacuumed them up and they belonged to your mother-in-law who got them handed down for 5 generations.

then i would understand the crying jag.

and moving.

i would say "i'm sorry things suck" but then it would be a bad pun that might remind you of the evil pearl snatching vacuum.

so instead i'll just say... i'm sorry, honey, and i know things will get better soon.

hey you! CSUSM.... how long is the commute to San Marcos, or are you moving more south anyways??? didn't have time for the story I mentioned in email. maybe this weekend. Got a little distracted.... life's good here as well. Not looking foreward to the mayhem that awaits me this weekend when all parents of public school kids are going to shop en masse in Target and OfficeDepot. We get the letter from the teachers just days ahead and everyone is going to shop for school supplies following the wish list of each teacher. Soooo annyoing... Monday school and college pour moi start again. Great kids are busy, yikes back to college for me.... but you can do it Sammy!!
