Road Trip
Tired of seeing my nekkid ass yet? I didn't think so! Well, I'm off to Grand Junction. Colorado on Thursday to bury my father in his hometown. I'll be back on Sunday evening. I may post on the road, it depends on how I feel. Wish me luck and send good thoughts my way please, I'm trying not to be a crying wreck but this really sucks ass.

it's ok to be a crying wreck sometimes. this is one of those. have safe travels and i hope this helps your grieving process.
don't let anyone impose a time limit on your grief or make you feel like you should be in any certain stage at any time. feel what you feel, when you feel it (this goes for inexplicable maniacal laughter, too..
don't hide from it, don't seek it out, but when it comes, just feel it. i haven't lost my father, but i've lost enough people to know that this is the only way to come out of such a great loss intact.
you're in my thoughts this weekend.
dammit, Sam. i'm tired today, which makes me apt to cry. so i come here, hoping for a good ol' Sam's Stories chuckle.
