Half-Nekkid Letdown
Well, being the suck-ass that I am, there is no HNT for you guys this week. However, I've been working hard taking pictures with my phone all around town. He's what I found for you today:
I visited Urgent Care today to determine that my 4th case of shingles in the past 10 years is, indeed, shingles. Wow, thanks doc! Now give me drugs. Oh, and thanks for the "Who the fuck get shingles at age 32? For the FOURTH TIME?!" look. Really. I know I'm fucked up. Move on, man.
While walking through the Urgent Care parking lot I noticed this gem hanging out. Perhaps the owner needed further instruction than "Insert into bush".
Earlier in the day I noticed this AWESOME minivan.
Anna shares my loathing of those damn stick figure families found on minivans and SUVs. I wonder if she's seen these retarded flip-flop families? Does the owner of this van really make her husband wear pink, flowered flip-flops? Sigh.
For those of you that know shingles are helped out tremendously by stress, I am doing okay. I'm having parental issues (my mother the cunt!!) which are stressing me and I'm working on resolving them. I'm not in the mood to discuss them now, but things will get better. As far as Chicken and Teddy Bear, I'm a happy camper. Things with Teddy Bear are serious. Seriously good and seriously fast and wonderful and WOW the things I will share (but not right now).
Happy Half-Nekkid Thursday everyone!

Hey lady hope all will be normal soon for you. Nice pics. Who even thinks a plant needs a tampon? I need to learn how to spell.
Shingles suck. You must be under a TON of stress; it hit me in my 20s during some pretty intense times. I can relate! Had to laugh at what you found in the shrubs.

well, i am sad not to see skin.
Those flip flops make me want to gag.
Now ease up on the stress damnit!
Being HIV positive, there are some issues I deal with on a need to know basis. WE all carry the herpes zoster in the system. The childhood genetic code for chicken pox. I had it 3 times and lived.
My zoster flares up when I am stressed or my immune system is taxed by a bug or some outside and/or internal cause.
I have had shingles several times, over the years. AND as of late my zoster has been flaring and I have itch spots on my arms and legs.
These 2 problems are unavoidable. I use a Topactin creme on the aras and it stops the itching. Shingles depending where they are can be extremely painful. Been there - done that.
I try to soak in a warm bath and chaneg the sheets often, and try to maintain a healthy balance of what I need to worry about and what I don't. Changing out towels - sheets - can help, because the germ cans multiply in moist areas.
Sometimes there is just an internal TRIGGER that starts up a Shingles or Zoster episode. One should have blood work and an endocrinology panel done to see if there is an internal problem being "systemic" or external problem.
Once you answer that question - then a better treatment can be - begun.
I hope you feel better. I am not a doctor but I play one on my blog. I guess 14 years of medical education about HIV givfes me a certain perspective on problems like these, because of the inherent problem of immune difficiency issues.
Luv

maybe its not a hubby, but a les couple...and both wear pink flips...maybe its a mom and 3 kids...regardless, at least its not stick people with names under them...cause that just shouts "sex offender look at me"...grr...
hope you are feeling better soon hun...
peace...
I will not mention that I am currently wearing pink flip-flops with flowers on them.
Sorry for the mom issues, but yay for the happy camper part. :)
Totally know what it's like to be about ready to put your tampon in to accidentally fumble with it when you got your legs spread and everything and then drop it on the sidewalk or the nearby bushes.
A major bummer since it is not at all sanitary to use them internally once they have hit a public sidewalk. Waste of a good tamp in my opinion.
People around me gasp too. I am sure they understand my frustration. Those things don't grow on trees you know.
Shingles!! Oh, God, you poor baby. Well, I guess it's TB's turn to take care of you.
Have they checked out your immune system? It sounds weird. You shouldn't keep getting them like that. Sorry for you, though. I know they can be painful and itchy.
Sorry about your shingles.
While the pink flip-flops are annoying, I prefer them to the "My god is better than your god" stickers.
The shingles are from you not blogging as much. Seriously, would they develope if you were sitting on your ass as much?
Those minivan/SUV stickfigure family things are as annoying as hell. I usually make the extra effort to give a mocking look at the husband driving it.
