Happy Birthday, Osbasso!
Chicken quip of the week:
"Mommy's idea of heaven is chocolate Xanax."
Yep. That's about right. One thing I just learned (while researching for this post) is that a low dosage of Xanax can be used to help with fibromyalgia. I didn't know that, I wonder if my shrink does? Nah, he probably doesn't. The website I was reading said that Xanax shouldn't be used for more than 8 months. So how does that reconcile with use for fibro? I also found that Xanax comes in a 1mg dosage. Holy fuck! I'd be comatose. Hmmm...
Since I'm already boring the shit out of you...I find it interesting that with my current suck-ass $750 annual prescription deductible my Advair is $212 per month. I thought once I quit smoking I could give up the Advair. Nope. I either A) give up breathing or B) pay for the fucking Advair or possibly C) give up Dude. Which I can never, ever do. Yes, this means my cat is costing me $212 per month in asthma medication because I'm allergic to him. Which would seem highly retarded, except for the fact that I thought the SMOKING was killing me. Seems both smoking and cats kill my lungs equally. Just one leads to emphysema and death, the other just leads to an expensive drug habit.
Why am I discussing my Advair cost? Because my Xanax costs nine dollars per month. NINE. WTF? That whole generic thing is amazing. I can't wait for generic Advair. While I'm waiting for that, I'd also like to see generic Lunesta. If I haven't said it before, Lunesta is the best thing since sex or chocolate. I've tried other sleeping medications before, and the 3mg Lunesta does the trick. A full night of sleep with no hangover in the morning. Sleep is a beautiful thing.
Goodnight!

Thank you, Sam! Please tell me that you posed for that, or sent in a picture... ;-)
I LOVE the cake and yes, sleep IS a beautiful thing!!!
I love xanax. Unfortunately, my Dr. knows it. He believes it is his duty to deprive me of all things enjoyable.
Seriously, I need to check into the Lunesta if it would work as good for me as it does for you. I never took any sleep meds that didn't leave me feeling like shit the next day, so I gave up on them. Who needs sleep?
With Lunesta, can you open your eyes all the way in the morning? That is my problem. I have insomnia, but I am afraid to take a sleeping pill because I am afraid that I will be unable to function in the morning. Those drugs are really expensive. I am a pharmacy tech for CVS, so I know what you mean. You probably would pay less for crack.
Good news. I watched the entire first season of House this weekend at the expense of doing ANY sort of homework. Which is really bad at this point in the semester when it's officially crunch time. But it was so worth it. I'll be having Hugh Laurie dreams for the rest of my life.
so cool
Dude, I totally hear you on the scripts cost. My antidepressants cost me almost 250 a month. Luckily, my shrink is way cool and started giving me enough samples to get through.
So, Lunesta rocks? I took Ambien and I was fuuuucked up. Big time. I'll have to post about it some time.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! :) Hiya Chicken!
wow. i feel lucky. i only take a generic birth control pill--$10 per month. glad i'm healthy.
i have a hard time understanding chronic insomnia. don't people get to the point that they literally cannot stay awake? i mean, i get insomnia, but rarely more than one night in a row. and i always end up falling asleep eventually. it's just stress related, so once i calm down, i'm ok. then i zonk out. and i'm dead to the world until my alarm beeps. to have it chronically would suck donkey nuts. man, i would be a bitch on wheels with chronic insomnia. but if i never slept, i would get so much more stuff done!
i'm sorry to hear about everyone's chronic drug needs! eek! actually, i'm glad y'all are getting help. technology can be a great thing sometimes.
so weird how the advair costs so much more. more evidence of how health insurance baffles me.
